There’s a trend of women on the internet putting makeup on that makes their eyes appear bigger and wearing low-cut and revealing outfits, only to lip-sync to some high pitched audio that sounds like a child and use childlike mannerisms. Often times there are childish elements to their outfits too. It’s easy to find in r/wordchewing and r/weirdfacefunny. It wouldn’t be so popular if…certain types…of people didn’t like it. I think anime has an influence on this sort of thing, too.
To me it seems to confirm that a lot of men find vulnerability, naivety, and general innocence attractive, and that’s the best implication of the whole thing. What it really suggests is a lot worse.
I don’t know, maybe I’ve been watching too much Undercover Underage, but there seems to be a common theme here in terms of attraction to these qualities and appearances.
Edit: I want to add that I’m not criticizing women just existing on the internet. It’s this specific content that is widespread and extremely off putting to me, a young woman.
