What is your device upgrade life cycle?

Same. A bit of maneuvering gets me a SS Apple Watch every year or two (buy Apple gift cards for 75-80% value, sell last years model for 65-70% of MSRP, nothing out of pocket).

I buy the latest iPhone on a 24-month payment plan. After 12 months, buy outright ($550 out of pocket) and sell for $800-850. Work reimbursement covers $50/month for a cellphone, so I “make” about $5/month by always having the latest phone, then pocket $250-300 once a year when I sell. That covers sales tax, activation fee, a new case, and a nice dinner in September each year. I might start buying the discounted Apple gift cards instead, buying outright, and just pocketing the full $50 work reimbursement each month.

Don’t care much for iPads, I currently have a 12.9” with M1, 256 GB with cellular that I bought used for $780. No plans to upgrade it anytime soon.

Have a 16” MacBook Pro with M1 Max that I bought with mostly credit card reward points and from selling my maxed out 2015 15” for $900. No plans to upgrade anytime soon either.

Sold my AirPods Pro gen 1 for $125 and picked up the gen 2 with credit card points.
