Do the websites that appear as default favorites in Safari (eg. Disney, Yahoo, etc.) pay for that privilege, or does Apple just pick them? I assume it’s the former, if so, how much do the companies pay and do we know what are the terms of the contracts? I have heard of Google’s multibillion dollar contract to be the default search engine, but haven’t been able to find anything about the favorites page.
