Apple Certified Chargers

I don’t think it’s that simple. It’s a certification of oversight. You basically know that an MFi product will be interoperable with Apple’s products and conform to relevant safety and quality standards. You don’t know the same about a non-MFi product. It could be okay, but maybe not. And a company that doesn’t want to pay for MFi certification may be cutting corners in other ways, too.
