Am I crazy for finding this problematic: there are a few dance moves and styles that I understand are trendy for adults, but I feel sad and uncomfortable seeing young kids doing them. I’m talking about the type of moves Rihanna’s backup dancers used at the halftime show. Some examples are body rolls, types of twerking, and even that move where they have one hand near the crotch and grab the material there. If adults want to dance like that it’s their choice and I think they understand that it’s a bit sexual. But it feels creepy and dystopian to see young kids dancing in this style. What do you think?
