You know those ‘Men try period pain’ videos? Couldn’t a device like that be used to diagnose unusual pain/endometriosis and other conditions?

THIS IS NOT A MEDICAL QUESTION. I AM NOT SEEKING ADVICE 🙂

I see those videos where like ‘men try period pain simulators’ all the time but they’re always being used on men, and while I see nothing wrong with that at all—it’s probably a way to get empathy through to some people—I was just wondering, does anyone know about it ever being used as a diagnostic tool?

Obviously everyone’s a bit different but when doctors (esp male ones) are SO bad at looking at endometriosis as a potential diagnosis for extreme period pain, would a device like that that allows women to ‘rate’ their avg pain on a standardised scale not be helpful? If we studied where folks with different conditions fell on the pain scale we could get like an idea of what is a ‘normal’ range??

If it’s already been done that’s cool but idk I’ve just never heard of it and when you search it up all that comes up are men trying it
