Bought an Apple Watch ultra abroad (USA) asked if it would work at home (EU) was told it would work and worst case my right to return was world wide. Came home, setup the watch, realised cellular was not working. Went to my local Apple Store to figure it out, they told me US sold watched some not work in Europe and I could not return an item bought in a different currency.
It makes sense but it’s still frustrating, part of why so buy so much from the Apple Store is the great customer experience, you trust that they will give you accurate information.
