Why have women started to film themselves in the gym?

Why have women started to film themselves in gyms… and why does the internet continuously feel the need to recommend me this content?

As a man I can say that I have never once considered filming myself in a gym because I never thought that it had anything to do with going to the gym. I go to the gym to work-out, focus, and push myself which is generally a internal project (self-improvement).

So I am asking why? I am starting to find it incredibly dis-honorable, dis-tasteful, and quite frankly, these people look like low IQ narcissists.

So why?
