Comparing the Iphone to the apple computer, there were a couple of things that kinda surprised me when it comes to on-device processing. For example, the Iphone is able to process some siri requests completely offline while the macbook has to always have an internet connection. Or more recently, the apple music sing feature (which uses on device processing to separate the vocals from the background) doesn’t work on any apple computer even though many Iphones and iPads are supported. It also seems like (and maybe this is just me) that the offline diction on mac is worse than it’s Iphone counterpart.
Does anyone know/have theories on why there are many little features left out of mac software?
