What do you take when you camp outdoors?

I’m going on an all girls camping trip and I want to be sure we’re safe. There’s a firearm involved but I want to know what measures you’ve taken in the past to deter bad apples before it’s too late.

So far, we’ve brainstormed hanging motion sensor lights outside our tent so no one can sneak up on it, taking a few pairs of work boots from the men in our lives to put outside the tent, a zipper lock for the tent, and getting one big tent to share instead of splitting into different ones.

Tips on essentials for hygiene, deterring wildlife, and using the bathroom would also be appreciated!
