My experience is that about five years ago Apple’s voice to text was pretty good save for some minor fixes it needed.
Nothing has changed with my voice, though I did buy an upgraded iPhone. But what has coincided with updates over the last two years is that its voice to text got a lot worse – then, very recently, it became garbage tier.
It’s little wonder why I see so many drivers texting now – we can’t rely on the phone to not make the other party pissed off. But it isn’t merely while commuting – it’s also in the calm work environment.
And what’s with it constantly trying to leave a space between the period at the end of sentences? What’s with commas placed in nonsensical places? I’d much rather it skip trying to punctuate my voice than punctuating it badly.
