Using clothing items until they’re not usable anymore?

What’s your take on this? I need pointers desperately.

I love fashion and being put together but I’m trying to curb my spending. I feel the need to have several pairs of shoes and various other office attire WTF??!! WHY??!!

There are far more important things to do with my $ than buy a new pair of shoes because my others have a tiny scratch in the leather. WTF is wrong with me??!! I’m in grad school right now shoes and clothes should be the last things on my mind.

Where do you draw the line on purchasing new items?? How do you go about being fashionable but still only using what you’ve got already??

Case in point: When I was in junior college there was this stunning woman who I would see every morning. She always wore the same silhouettes in her attire. Everyday she looked fabulous; always wearing her signature pieces. Heeled boots, skirt, blouse, makeup, hair done. I spoke to her about her style and she informed me she was a math professor! She said she loved wearing the same outfit every day with small variations here and there. I’ve never forgotten her nor the impact she’s had on my style and professionalism.

How do I become her!!??
