This reminds me of the iPad?
The iPad was the original vision, and they ended up doing an iPhone first which intended or not was the killer product. When Jobs launched the iPad he mentioned this was what they had been working on all along with the Phone but to this day, the iPad still doesn’t have the same wide appeal as the Phone. Fewer use cases, less practicality.
