The International Labour Organization (ILO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Programme Assistant – Business Relations in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The duration of this post is 12 months.
The mission of the ILO is to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection and strengthen dialogue on work-related issues.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Programme Assistant – Business Relations will perform the following functions:
- Support the business relations team in establishing and maintaining progressive relationships with buyers, other stakeholders, and business, following the planned outcomes and activities.
- Track and monitor challenges and opportunities in business relations activities using systematic tools, provide timely updates to supervisor and relevant business stakeholders.
- Facilitate response to the inquiries from business and support internal communication and planning in areas needed in a timely and systematic manner.
- Plan for meetings, calls and events with business, as required by the program work plan. Support the development of agenda and take notes on substantial matters for internal review.
- Act as one of the focal team members for information exchanges on business relations activities. Collects and drafts case studies, articles and feature stories that highlight the priorities and impact of relationship management.
- Support business in accessing information from Better Work Portal, including initial induction for local business representatives and troubleshooting.
- Maintain internal documentation and knowledge-sharing systems for business relations activities.
- Contribute to the development of tools and materials for business relations activities.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- Completion of secondary school education.
- At least six years of professional experience in business or development projects.
- Experience in stakeholder relationship management and information management especially in private sector is highly desirable.
- An exposure to the RMG supply chain is an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of the working language of the duty station and a good knowledge of English.
