Every single other application, by Apple and other developers, has the newest items at the top of a list. The only thing that doesn’t is a messaging conversation, but that makes sense with relation to the keyboard.
But why on earth does Apple Photos sort with newest at the bottom, and syncing status below that. It’s completely unintuitive and ridiculous.
Is there any reason why they do this? Is it something legacy related within Apple software?
