Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist in Lusaka, Zambia. The duration of this post is 6 months.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Ensure up to date progress tracking of the project indicators as contained in the project log frame of the OH project;
- Monitor progress on project activities and outputs to ensure that the delivery is on track
- Ensures that M&E findings are effectively disseminated to all project partners to ensure lesson learning and fine-tuning of project implementation;
- Identify monitoring and evaluation capacity building needs and facilitates capacity development for other project field staff as well as government and other stakeholders at provincial, district camp, and field levels; involved in monitoring and evaluation of the activities of the project;
- Liaise and maintains relationships with the project M&E Focal Point in the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries to ensure effective flow of management of information needs
- Ensure completeness and regular update of FAO Monitoring and Evaluation tools (Quality Assurance section of FPMIS) for the project
- Periodic documentation of effects and impacts for project beneficiaries covering various aspects of the projects outputs and outcomes
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must have:
- University degree in development related studies or public health;
- At least 5 year’s of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation/knowledge management;
- Working knowledge of the English language
- Nationality of Zambia.
