Your menstrual health is like a monthly report card of your overall health.
Common root causes of period problems like imbalanced blood sugar, a lack of nutrients, chronic stress, poor sleep habits, and overexposure to toxins are also root causes of many chronic health issues like heart disease, cognitive degeneration, and cancer.
Signs of these root causes often show up first in our menstrual health in the form of cramps, PMS, irregular cycles, ovulation pain, menstrual migraines, etc.
In some ways, we are lucky to receive these warning signs from our bodies that we are potentially headed towards a more serious diagnosis.
Which is why ignoring these issues is so problematic…
…and why it is straight up neglect to only offer women hormonal birth control under the guise that it “balances our cycles,” when in fact it simply masks symptoms of underlying root causes while allowing them to keep developing, undetected.
