Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of MEAL Assistant in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The duration of this post is 3 months.

Key Job Responsibilities
The MEAL Assistant will perform the following functions-
- Conduct periodic household-level interviews, post-distribution monitoring, beneficiary contact monitoring, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews to track the progress of the activities against targets identified in the logical framework
- Verify field data/reports collected with the Management Information Systems (MIS) database and activities in the field
- Draft monitoring reports (as required) for the management identifying problems and causes of potential bottlenecks in implementation and providing specific recommendations based on observed challenges and opportunities;
- In collaboration with the MEAL Associate, supervise the partners’ data collection activities and assessments (i.e, baseline, endline, impact evaluation, yearly RIMA study)
- Conduct feedback sessions with enumerators to ensure the quality of data
- Contribute to the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data collected and support the drafting of baseline/endline/impact evaluation reports
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must have:
- Bachelor’s degree, postgraduate degree preferred, in Urban and Regional Planning, Statistics, Geography and Environment, Development studies, Social Science, Anthropology or related discipline with expertise in monitoring and evaluation
- Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in programme planning, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning, and reporting with UN agencies/INGOS/NGOs
- Working knowledge of English
- Nationality of Bangladesh
