Its mine and my partners anniversary today, we have been together for a year though its been a crazy one. We havent planned anything special just takeout and playing chess at home because before we were dating thats how we spent time together here at the house we both now live in.
Heres where I feel like a jerk I swear I remember talking about not doing gifts or anything because we both agree its just a ridiculous idea that things like valentines day and anniversaries are when you love and appreciate eachother or spoil eachother ect, we try to do that in our relationship, plus neither of us are big on getting gifts or want much. But I got up to see him off to work and he said he got me something small as he assumed I’d get him something and now I feel like a dick.
I was planning to get him a few things after work that I know he’ll like and use, but I dont want it to seem or feel like an afterthought; hes very very particular and hard to shop for.
