I just need to rant. I’m sick of men using excuses to get away with saying shit that is out of line, or doing something that their girlfriend specifically asked them not to do.
Like for example, I just read this post about this girl that got face fucked so hard by her boyfriend that she threw up, specifically after asking him to be gentle bc she had a sore throat. And his excuse was “well bc we got in a fight before I wasn’t thinking right and forgot you had a sore throat” LIKE WHAT. I think he genuinely forgot, but WHY can they just get away with that. If I ever did that to a guy he would freak out on me for not listening to them.
Or another example, I’m talking to this guy that plays soccer semi professionally and he hurt his back in practice and said he “lost it” and “made a scene” when it happened. And it’s not like anyone is going to talk to him about his actions and how to deal with anger, but if a woman did that she would be labelled crazy and uncontrollable.
My ex used to say “sorry I just can’t control how I speak when I talk about hockey” after he called my dad “dude” while talking to him about the game. Like what a stupid excuse for something so easily preventable. Just don’t call him dude???? have some accountability for yourself.
I know this is just usual patriarchy things. I’m just sick of it. Why can’t men just take ownership for their actions and admit when they are wrong
