Notes. Pages docs. Messages in the cloud. Reminders. On all of my devices, these apps and individual files within them can remain out of sync for minutes if not more before they sync properly. Sometimes they have to be forced to sync. A note updated on the phone will not appear on the computer unless I open the notes app on the phone again.
This can’t be a one-off problem as I see it happening in my boss’ devices, my siblings and some friends as well. The “robustness” of Apple’s cloud services is a far cry from Google’s, it appears, though the attendant tradeoffs of using that service have been discussed here.
What will it take for syncing to “just work” NOW instead of just work in a few minutes?
