I texted my ex last night, but I didn’t mean to hit send. I typed out the message and went to hit send, but I changed my mind but when trying to exit the convo I hit send while swiping out. I don’t have the new apple update that you can delete texts.
My ex and I broke up because his mental health was not going good. He broke up with me because he needed to work on himself alone. My text just said, “hey, i know we haven’t talked in a bit but i hope things are going well for you.” We aren’t on bad terms at all and I still have to see him constantly because we are on the same sports team.
I knew that if I texted him, he would answer and he did answer. All he said is “it’s okay hbu”. I just responded with “that’s good, i’m okay”. That has just been the conversation since. We had a good relationship at the beginning, but it declined as his mental health declined. I admit though I could have done things differently. I really do care about him and miss him so much. I do not think he is going to respond again and I will just give him the space he needs.
Has anyone been through something similar and have any advice for me?
