I had to have this procedure carried out to get an IUD inserted after some failed attempts. I was told to take paracetamol and ibuprofen an hour before. I had to insert dilator tablets the night before. The procedure was barbaric, I’ve never felt pain like it. Nothing given to me to help relax. No anaesthetic. No local anaesthesia. I screamed and cried while it took place. Felt out of sorts for two days after it walking funny.
How is this acceptable?!! Anyone else have any insights.
