There’s a whole additional layer of broken problems too: what if the album title is long, or you have multiple variants of an album (example: “SNES” vs “Arcade” soundtrack) so that you need to see the crucial last word in the title not the first few words? Same problem in both music and podcasts.
For phone I’m using an older iPhone and sometimes the Podcast title scroll simply doesn’t work. The words don’t scroll and I can never find out what the title is. Other times, the words scroll automatically after a couple seconds. I assume they fixed this in later updates which my phone can’t get.
How about the fact that the scrubber bar in music is like ONE PIXEL TALL? It’s literally the tiniest most un-tappable widget in the entire OS and entire app ecosystem (possibly in computing history), in blatant violation of HIG, and in Apple’s first-party app. And it’s been this way for years. The volume bar has a giant circle thing on it to grab, but the time/position/scrubber bar has nothing.
