Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Economic Recovery Officer in Kyiv/Dnipro, Ukraine.
DRC fulfills its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations – refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs) and host communities in the conflict areas of the world.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Economic Recovery Officer will perform the following functions:
- Programming & Operations
- Ensure efficient and effective program implementation while following the budget and work plan
- Participate in preparing monthly/quarterly/annual highlights/reports and updates for donors
- Aid project team in organization, preparation to, and execution of specific project activities which fall to sector responsibilities
- Assist project team in carrying out monitoring and evaluation exercises, when requested
- Coordination and representation
- Collaborate with relevant internal and external technical experts on sector relevant issues
- Represent DRC at meetings and other relevant technical coordination meetings
- Ensure integration with other DRC sectors
- Project development
- Develop project plans and budgets for funding
- Develop projects tools
- Project implementation and reporting
- Monitor and evaluate projects, when requested
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
- Relevant university degree (e.g. political science, international development, or economics) or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 2 year’s of practical experience in sector area working for an INGO
- Field experience
- Excellent skill in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Advanced communications kills
- Advanced English proficiency
- Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian languages
