I was at work one day, long ago, and there was a new girl. I wanted be friendly so she’d feel more welcome. Introduced myself and told her she could ask me if she needed help with anything. She looked at me like i was a monster and she acted really cold. Later i see her with another coworker, they looked like they had known each other for years, later he told me he didn’t know her.
Later that same day, i got paired with another new coworker and i was pretty cold towards her. Mainly because i was grumpy because of that other girl. Didn’t introduce myself, didn’t try to make small talk. Just explained what we needed to do. This girl really seemed interested though. Asking me personal questions, she really wanted to talk to me and i also noticed her staring at me in the elevator and smiling at me.
Girls aren’t the same. Perhaps the first girl just didn’t like my face? Nothing wrong with that. But i wonder if acting so coldly and disinterested makes it more likely for a girl to become interested in you?
