Totally.
I’m a fan of VR gaming (PCVR and Quest). And I know that this won’t be for gaming.
BUT Apple is good at leading in areas that others then copy. So even if this isn’t any good for gaming, but grows AR/VR as a whole, I think that benefits the entire space.
My guess though, is that this will be like the Apple Watch. Apple didn’t invent the smart watch. And when the Apple Watch came out, it honestly didn’t do anything majorly groundbreaking. But it has been arguably the best implementation of a smart watch that has hit mass market.
So in this case, I’m not sure Apple will really do anything that couldn’t be done on a quest pro – but I don’t doubt that Apple will do it better.
