Dear community,
apple’s file management system sucks and there are some simple reasons why. “Syncing” is a very poor replacement for an actual file browser. You can easily loose track where each file is stored and in what quality. Apple also does not support standards like cover art jpgs, converting them is a pain and apple’s own library for cover art is (intentionally?) obscure. If you are unfortunate enough to have forgotten to disable icloud sync for photos on your phone, good luck figuring out where your photos are and getting the HQ version back onto your phone. If you backup your library, it is not at all clear if all your photos have actually been backed up.
Apple please give the normal device users an actually usable filebrowser to interface with our devices. Having to rely on paid third party software for such basic functionality is really unacceptable.
Regards,
Chief
