This is just my opinion I might be wrong. (BTW I change my mind it’s not a big mistake it’s a mistake)
I think that in the Intel days I can understand why Apple didn’t really care about gaming. Their computer mostly couldn’t run games that well and yes, most of their costumers don’t care about games. So being able to run a few games not that well. Doesn’t help anyone.
But then Apple silicon came which changes things in a big way.
Now. All of their machines can run a lot of games well. Maybe not top of the line games. But not that far off.
Not just that. Considering all of the Apple ecosystem are on the same chip architecture and design. That could bring some of the games at least to the iPad and IPhone. You could play the game on your Apple TV and then on your iPhone on the go(with something like the backbone which just came out).
Their computers are good enough. Especially the laptops. That they can compete as a gaming laptop, which will open Apple to a new market and can make something like the AppleTV to a mini console and give their iPhone and iPad a few killer games maybe.
I think the best thing they can do is go the Nintendo way. Go for a bit less intensive games but still AAA. And maybe develop a few gems with an in-house developer.
