A lot of guys are indoctrinated to corporate horse-race cheerleading, and they LOVE following and posting meaningless info like that. They think it’s inherently newsworthy and significant, like the entire world is a portfolio valuation club.
Even though they’re not getting paid like an actual public relations person is. They do it for free.
