Your line of reasoning is fundamentally limited. Many of the consortiums and forums are ABOVE/OUTSIDE THE EU in any case and the EU “downloads” those standards and regulations then implements them with member nation voting systems as part of their own political creation process aka “SUPRANATIONAL” to National decision-making and legislation processes.
The UK being outside is already a large and and active member and would in many areas or domains download directly the same standards/regulations that the EU does via “EU Directives” subsequent to National legislation for review by members.
I wish you’d stick to the actual technical aspects here and not promote partisan ignorance of the full picture be it digital, manufacturing and hundreds of thousands of other areas of technocratic goverance.
You derail the fundamental question of Apple’s “monopoly” or “negative impact on cloud gaming services” which deserves more direct discussion.
Such information and control via a product page is especially important for games given they are often targeted at children and children are some of the highest users of game apps.”
This seems to be Apple’s most compelling argument. It would be more useful to see discussion for and against it.
Personally from the research I’ve done, I find Apple more restrictive and more obfuscating in contrast to Android with respect to Cloud Gaming or alternative Web App services and initially welcome changes to Apple’s policies to be more accommodating.
