Good God this is a non-story.
A couple claims, someone put an AirTag in the front pocket of a backpack, while they were wearing it. It beeped (as it should), so they removed it. They still freaked the f*ck out thinking someone could be “looking for them”.
So they changed where they were staying and canceled the trip early. Then, they made sure that people knew about this by having the story published with their full names and photos of their faces.
