In some cases yes, in others no. On the one hand, i grew up in a time and place where if you ran your mouth off, there was a good chance that someone would punch you in the face… I’m not saying that it was better then, it’s just how things were so i tend to choose my words more carefully than people that never lived in that era.
A lot of people these days are so accustomed to being able to say and do whatever the hell they like and never really suffering any consequences for it, then when something finally does bite them in the ass, it comes as a massive shock to their system.
In terms of people being sensitive about racist or discriminatory comments, people need to accept that the world has changed (for the better) and adjust their vocabularies.
