Folks with this mindset needs to realize that a lot of cheaters do NOT want to end the relationship, their current relationship is their preferred relationship they want to stay in and keep. They cheat for some other reason, which could be any number of things that differs from person to person.
Cheaters aren’t people going “I don’t want to be in this relationship, but don’t want to end it.” Some may be, in which that’s its own conversation as to why they don’t end it ranging anywhere from financial reasons, fear of ending a relationship with an abuser, using the cheating as the motivator for breaking up first, etc.
I’ve never cheated and I can still recognize that this shit is way more complicated than just “Cheaters don’t want to be in that relationship.”
