Who cut up your heart like it was a jack-o’-lantern – ripping pieces asunder, yet you ended up more beautiful because of it?

A person who took advantage of my kindness and the fact I had a crush on her. I ended (what I thought was) our friendship just before the pandemic. I could have kept talking to her throughout it, but couldn’t handle talking to her after all the stuff she’d put me through. Gave me enough time completely alone during the pandemic to really work on myself.
