They’re both dead but…
David Bowie and Klaus Nomi.
For the uninitiated, Klaus and Bowie did share the stage together once, for an SNL performance. Klaus did backup vocals for him, and Bowie said he would keep in touch to work with him. Sadly, he never did, and Klaus would die from AIDs a few years later. His loss was a travesty to the music world, at least in my opinion.
Regardless, both were very much going through their prime at the time, and I would have loved to see what both of them would have come up with. Both genuinely unique, in both style and artistry. I fear we will never see another Bowie and Klaus again, or at least not in my lifetime.
