And what’s really infuriating is that Chris Nolan often responds to accusations of his films not making sense by basically saying “it’s just a movie, you’re not meant to over-analyse it” – and yet he makes super complicated/confusing films that require a certain amount of analysis and always presents them as clever puzzle boxes
