Where does your political views differ from your political party?

I’m kind of libertarian, but I can’t be completely on board because the idea of totally free markets without any sort of tariffs is a huge problem. Then you end up with a situation like the US is in, where we’re not capable of doing our own manufacturing anymore. China is our main geopolitical adversary, but we’re completely dependent on them for things like steel, which you need to have any sort of military equipment.
