What’s something society turns a blind eye to?

The things that taxpayers subsidize create other problems the taxpayers then pay to fix. Like in the United States, taxpayers subsidize the corn and sugar industries, and then also pay to combat childhood obesity. Fossil fuel subsidies make gas cheap but we also have this existential crisis called climate change.
