What’s a job that’s doesn’t pay as high as everyone thinks?

Personal Support Worker.

People equate it to being a nurse or a doctor – It’s not, you do all the work a nurse or a doctor would do and often more – Taking care of people with dementia, alzheimer’s, people who are very old and infirm. You’ll be cleaning them when they soil themselves, you’ll be there when they forget their families names and their own name, or how to walk.

It’s a rough job. It has erratic hours. It requires constant travel and high mental capacity for tragic events. Your clients will often die.

But the best part is that it’s barely minimum wage and part time.

If you ever see a PSW, give them a hug. Their job sucks.
