What would happen if everyone in the world stood on each others shoulders and the guy at the top grabbed onto the moon and pulled it down?

Moons gravity means the guy at the end would fall down. You gotta have guys on each others shoulders starting on the earth, and another group starting on the moon, then the towers of guys on each others shoulders meets in the middle. Then they can pull each other closer and move the planets closer together
