What will die with boomers?

I grew up in a 70s split level with wall to wall carpet, never knowing anything else existed.

As an adult I discovered hardwood floors and dreamed of living in an old house with beautiful wood floors.

Now I have that house! And I can totally see why wall to wall carpet appealed to people who only knew wood floors as the default.
