What was the most awkward part about your pre-teen years?

I spent most of it nose deep in a book, or video games, so most of it went by in a blur. I do remember crushing hard on this older girl, who basically set me up as a way to make fun of me with her friends looking in in secret. I felt more awkward than I ever had up until that point.
