What tragic event in history would you like to see get the Titanic treatment and who would you like to see direct it?

I want to see Leonardo DiCaprio standing-spoon Kate Winslet on the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Then when the building collapses, a perfectly aerodynamic door can glide them both to safety, but for some reason Leo opts to fall.
