It was really strange.
I quite clearly recall seeing The Police’s video for their song “Every Breath You Take” when it first came out (a REALLY long time ago), and the melody and the visuals of the band kinda relaxing their way through the video seemed really peaceful. Knew instantly it was going to be a big big hit, and was not disappointed.
But the funny thing was the message of the song was the opposite of “warm and fuzzy”. The lyrics were about an unhealthily infatuated stalker who couldn’t let his ex go.
