What movie did you not expect to have a disturbing scene in it and has kept you from watching said movie to this day?

Mine is Cold Mountain. When they are torturing the mother by crushing her fingers under the fence then shoot both her sons who come to her aid.

Every single angle and element of this scene breeds hopelessness and a deficit of empathy and humanity. The sons have to endure her suffering then she has to endure her the death of her sons.

As a son, that would honestly be my nightmare.
