You’re looking at it wrong, and that is a big problem with the debate.
It’s not a one of the other thing.
If your goal is to reduce Gun violence, you address both. (among other things)
Attack the problem from both the supply and demand side.
For one example, there have “always” been a huge supply of guns available in America, but why do the number of incidents seem to be drastically increasing over the years. What has changed?
