Taking my young daughters to the grocery store and being stopped (and subsequently followed) by a woman who wanted to give my children candy. She asked politely first, and I declined, but she persisted and ultimately touched my eldest daughter’s hand and said “someday you’ll find that your mother is not your manager”.
