It has to be Santa Claus, right? Millions of parents in countries around the world not only lying to their kids, but working together to keep the lie going forever. It’s a lie so deeply ingrained into culture that people actually get upset when you tell their kids the truth.
And yes – my daughter believed in Santa for years. There’s nothing wrong with it at all, I just think it’s the most well-constructed lie I could think of
