Most takes, imo our society heavily ignores the needs of people with intellectual disabilities and mental health problems in spite of how “progressive” we are, it’s like the disabled are always forgotten by the same communities that want to include the LGBT and racialized minorities
Which is dumb because several people in those communities are also disabled in ways that confound the prejudice they may also get for being black, gay, etc
